Note: I do not take this truck off road for more than a few dirt trails in the Pocono Mountains a few times of year, so departure angle is not a concern. This is just for my particular situation. I don't have a great to access the back via the rear gate all that much, nothing that I can't access from the side door. This is probably over kill but it makes me feel better. To minimize this sway I decided to use to two ratchet straps. The sway is no more than an inch from side to side, front to back. There is some greater tire sway in my unit, which I believe is attributable to the fact I carrying a 35 inch tire, and have a longer stem from hitch to the top where the tire is secured. My assessment is that its a good product. He asked me to take very specific measurements from a number of different areas to ensure proper fitment and to minimize breaking the rear window if contacted from the rear by another vehicle. He will do other work if requested as my tire carrier. He does primarily cater to Jeep XJ Cherokee customers as his business base. My delivery time was 5 weeks from date of order. He did hint very strongly the three weeks was the minimum and to expect longer. He gave me three week lead time for manufacture and delivery.
He answers his phone or returns call immediately. I had send him a few emails for status updates and all were answered within 24 hours and that included a holiday weekend. He will take the time to speak to you at length, discuss off-roading and his products freely. He is respectable, courteous, extremely customer service oriented. Let me start of by saying Mark, the owner of Detours Off Road is awesome. The height of the front fender in 41 inches, and the rear 41.5 inches. I have a two inch BL, three inch SL, with 35 inch AT tires with a Hidden Hitch as well.

I thought I would offer my opinion of it usefulness vs a full rear bumper and tire carrier. I took some photos of the item in detail. Oh.PS: Lots of inquiries concerning to 20 year product run for Jeeps previously offered.These products were dropped 3 years ago when I reorganized and are not being currently produced, I can't be bribed (lol).for multiple reasons those items are way on the back burner, if things change I'll let you know here.I had recently purchased and put on my 2010 Off Road, a Detours Off Road, Knucklebone Tire Carrier. Meanwhile, things keep rolling here and I'll continue the 7 day a week routine to ensure things keep rolling.That's it for now, appreciate the continued support and patience from everybody!! The shop itself is extremely busy even with a reduction of accepting new orders, I'll be further accepting new fewer orders until the backlog is caught up, inventory reorders are no longer questioned, and hopefully the school system decides to return full time.
(?) It's October for goodness sake, seems this year we're going from Labor Day straight to Christmas.I'll be placing reorders again later today.we'll see how that goes. I overheard last evening that if there's that 'special' gift for Christmas or if you're shopping online, you better do it now. Incoming hardware/supplies required time frames were getting better, but have recently started to slow again for whatever reason. (basically single parenting for over a year, let's just say.'it's complicated'.) That's simply the only moral thing to do as a parent. I honestly don't feel it's very healthy for kids and just yesterday while checking on my son it became very apparent that he needed some 'dad' time so I basically stepped away from the shop and gave him 2 hours in the middle of the day. Home schooling/remote learning is again a thing in our community, kids being home 24-7 will cut into your time as many of you know, no matter how you slice it. This has been distracting/disruptive to say the least but I'm at the point of wiring/insulating & creating the horizontal bi-fold overhead door provide the maximum space to the addition.
